I first visited this area in 1997 and it was love at first site! I had never seen anything like it … big skies, views in every direction, the ability to see the Milky Way with the naked eye at night, and of course…having the South Rim of the Grand Canyon an hour or less from anywhere we call home here in Northern Arizona. Some of the most beautiful country in the world is right here in Flagstaff, Williams and Grand Canyon Country!
We are also less than an hour from the Red Rocks of Sedona! Travel from the largest ponderosa pine forest at 7000′, down Oak Creek Canyon to the City ofSedona with towering buttes and iron stained sandstone rock formations everywhere! Looking for a great hike…there are thousands of miles of trails in the Coconino and Kaibab National Forest and close to 2 million acres to enjoy. Mountain Biking, hiking, camping, wildlife watching and more where you can enjoy cool summers and come out and play in our winter wonderland!
Coconino County is the size of Massachusetts, yet only 11% of the land is privately owned. We are home to numerous national parks, Arizona State Trust Land, national forests, national monuments as well as six indigenous Native American tribes and reservations. We have 4 cities that are incorporated in this County … Flagstaff being the largest and the county seat, then Williams 30 miles west, Tusayan at the entrance of the Grand Canyon an hour northwest, and Page at the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell approximately 2 hours north of Flagstaff. In between these areas you will find the small communities of Parks and Munds Park, Doney Park, Kachina Village and Mountainaire and the Grand Canyon Junction.
I have been a REALTOR and lived in Northern Arizona since 2004. I am familiarwith the entire area and know I can help you call Northern Arizona home no matter which area you are interested in!
